Moving in the middle of the School Year

Most schools have no problem admitting in the middle of the year. Make sure you bring school records from their current schools, and here in the US you are required to have certain vaccinations in order to attend school and they want to see proof of them, or you will have to get them done. You can choose not to vaccinate, but it usually causes more problems then it solves, but it is your right not to have your kids vaccinated. They will probably have to contact their previous schools and get records faxed or emailed over anyway, so make sure you have good contact information for their current school. Shouldn't take more than a week or 2 tops to get them registered and enrolled. A lot of school systems have online enrollment here, and you maybe able to get most of the stuff done a few weeks before you actually arrive. that will speed things up. If you know the address you will be moving to it is pretty easy to find the school district they will be enrolling in, and you can contact the school in advance of your arrival to see everything you are going to need, and most of the schools depending on where you are moving are pretty helpful and outgoing. If your moving to a big city ( LA, or New York, etc.) It may be a little more difficult, but doable..
