Hello. I called NVC om Wednesday ans they said our case was received on July 13. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised because it was just sent out by USCIS on July 11. The representative said it will be around 6 weeks to receive a case number (which is probably a standard script). I tried to verify my email and she said we aren't in tbe system yet to do so. Here are my questions.

1. Will they email the DS261 to my wife (the beneficiary)? Her email is listed on the I-130. If so, I presume that I verify that email as well? (My email is also on the I-130).

2. How long is it taking on average to get a case number at NVC?

1. NO.  NVC does not initiate anything.. except issuing RFE and completed emails.. you need to keep calling to get your Case number, then use the CEAC website to complete the forms DS 261, DS 260, IV and  AOS fee payments.

2. Up to 11 weeks.. keep calling 2 or  3 times each week

Hi,

I didn't receive a email. I called NVC after 8 weeks and 9 days to get a case number, they provided the case and invoice number. One you got that info you can log into the following link below. At this current moment its been down for 1 week and 2 days. Once you get on it will ask you to Choose an agent. The agent can be you or your wife which ever one. I chose myself since my husband only understands anything in spanish poor thing wasnt going to understand anything in english lol. Once you choose a agent they will send you a confirmation by email in reference to choosing the agent. Make sure to call NVC to validate your DS-261 agent.

You then going to receive an email afterwards to pay for your AOS fee and afterwards your IV fee. (some have received them at the same time I didnt)

I been waiting since 7/19/2018 to pay for my IV fee and havent been able to do so since they doing maintenance on the wesbsite, however advised from a NVC rep I already sent my AOS / IV package to them but they will not review it until the IV fee is paid and the DS-260 is complete.

Good Luck - Hope this helps
