We really don't know when it will stop.

We paid a fee for the I-130. Then, the US Citizen got a $70 fee for the Affidavit of Support.

I got a paper for the Choice of Agent. I chose myself.

Today, I just got a letter that we have to pay $380.

1st, I don't know why I got it as it has to be paid by a US citizen and obviously, I'll have to forward it to my husband.

So, did I do a mistake and should have chosen the US citizen as the agent?

What other fee(s) will we have to pay?

N-400 process started 09/2017

The agent of choice will recieve all the bills for payment, so after you pay the last $380.00 that will allow processing for application. Then you just have to wait for the case to be transferred to the embassy. I hope this helps you.

Yes, your case would have progressed faster if you had chosen the USC as agent, also if you had used these shortcuts. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;#entry885374

That's water under the bridge. The guides do a good job of listing the fees.

Why can't your husband send you the money if you can't afford it? If he had been chosen as the choice of agent he would've had to pay anyway, right?

no, the fees will never end so get used to it and plan ahead, otherwise you'll make yourself miserable. there will be fees if when you remove the conditions (751), want to become a citizen, want to bring a family member over, have to get a passport etc., in other words, there will always be something you'll have to pay for. on top of that, the fees will go up soon and continue to do so, so start saving your money. read this thread

That's right - do not, under pain of nervous collapse, read what it will cost to become a citizen after the 3 years !

when you have won the lottery - look up the N400 fee to naturalize (new one)

I am going to start my own country the next time a volcano rises out of the Pacific and do it for half the price..

The first laws will include free beer on Saturdays and no clothes allowed except for people I don't fancy, where it is compulsory
