So I filed AR-11 ONLINE and got an email confirmation of the change of address from the dhs.uscis website. I also mailed a paper copy to the USCIS of the AR-11 form.

Today, USPS Informed Delivery shows a USCIS mail piece delivered to my new home's mailbox but I am out of town and wondering if this is the paper acknowledgment letter of the change of address.

I think so. It could only be a confirmation. However, you should have only stuck with online.

My wife and I moved to a new address a couple

of months ago. I called USCIS prior to submitting our address change to USCIS, and the agent highly stressed and repeated to only submit the AR-11 only either online or mail but not both. If I remembered, she mentioned like it’ll cause issues if you send it both ways. I guess she knew how messed up their system works. Lol

So I submitted an AR-11 only online and got a confirmation number on USCIS’ website as soon as I completed it.

My wife mailed in her I-865 since you can’t file this online. This, we received a confirmation through the mail about the following week.

Did anybody get a paper based acknowledgment letter from USCIS confirming the change of address?

I mailed in my AR-11 form and called them a week and a half later making sure that it was updated on their system. I never got any letter confirming that they changed my address......however, all my USCIS mail came to my new address.

So I finally opened the letter and it described how they received a request to change the address. The letter is sent from Mesquite Texas center. The letter says that they have forwarded the request to the California Center and mentioned that there is effectively no guarantee that CSC would update the address.
