@Pinkrlion Do you have a copy of the form you sent them? (did they mail it back to you maybe?) Is it filled out correctly (renewal/ C09)? If everything is correct it could have just been an error on their part incorrectly looking for the fee. You can send it back with a letter of explanation attached highlighting its a c09 renewal or you can just trash it and send a brand new form. When does your card expire? You need to file on time to get the 180 day auto extension.

Thanks,. Yep everything completed correctly included copy of approval letter and priority mail letter with renewal barcode.  Does not expire until December.

Hello Everyone, I need Help Pls:

{1} I sent i-360, i-485, i-765 and USCIS received on 08/15/2018, 09/01/2018 and 09/24/2018.

On September 24, 2018. I received an RFE of Good Moral Character for i-360, in that letter USCIS did not specify the maximum date to respond to said RFE.

{2} I received my biometrics appointment for AOS not for Work Authorization { 10/05/2018 }.

{3} When I sent my VAWA PETITION, I  have sent Police Clearance, My Former Boss in Ghana wrote Good Moral Character Letter and Family friend here in US wrote Good Moral Character Letter.

MY QUESTIONS:  {A} Can I do another Police Clearance. Can I send My Former Boss Good Moral Character Letter and Family friend Good Moral Character Letter ?

{B}  Can USCIS use the biometrics for Work Authorization or I will do another later ? Thanks in Advance

A. You need to submit police clearance otherwise your case will get denied.

You need police clearance from all US states and all countries you have lived in for 6 months or more 3 years prior to filing I-360.

Since you filed I-360 on 8/15/2018, you need police clearance from all places starting 8/15/2015.

B. You only do biometrics once. They will use them for your EAD. Biometrics at USCIS are good for 15 months. If you renew your EAD after it has been 15 months, they will have you redo them, but if you are within the 15 months when you apply for EAD renewal, they will most likely use your first biometrics.

My biometrics have been good for over 2.5 years which has been nice 😂😂😂😂

Thank you.. I'm so stress about it... Another question if you haven't committed any crime here or homeland, (i came with tourist visa and after couple of moths i get married after 3 years of abuse i decide to apply for vawa) and haven't use any program ( federal aid, to consider public charge ) under what ground can be an i485 being denied?

I'm pretty sure that i360 have all the evidence to prove domestic violence, the bonafide married and the residence, but have heard cases where this form has be denied. Thanks again

The l485 usually is denied in Vawa cases because the person got married before Vawa approval,or because of any in admissibility (felonies) or in case of misrepresentation the person didn’t submit a waiver to overcome the misrepresentation.

Yep you just need to submit form l864W. Vawa applicants should NOT submit form l864.

Yes, submit i-864W along with form I-485, it exempt you from proving financial support, there is no need for pay stubs or tax return. Tax return is required for I-864 only which is not applicable to you per current law. Try and do it as fast as you can  because USCIS is considering eliminating  form i-864W soon, then everyone will be required to submit the real affidavit of support form i-864 were you will need tax return.

In the proposal Law USCIS will eliminate form l864w but Vawa applicants won’t need to submit form l864.Vawa applicants will continue on the list of people exempt to submit any affidavit of support.

Good evening i want to ### anyone that has made an inquiry about why your case is taking longer than the normal processing time and got a  referral number?? How do you check that number or what can i do to see what is happening i recently made an info pass but when i got there the USCIS agent was very rude and basically told me we are busy and i have to wait and didn't want to check or see what is happening. Can someone please advise or help me i have filed my I-360 in late 2015 and im still pending? I wanna say thank you to anyone that can help me in advance. ❤️❤️❤️

It’s not normal the delay, specially because in 2015/2016 Vawa cases were taking 4/6months to be adjudicate. You should contact your congressperson asap, and contact the USCIS ombudsman as well.

The original EAD was with fee waiver related to I-485.  They are asking for fee waiver or to pay the 410.00. Since working, I am not in the same financial situation as when I filed for fee waiver.  I am able to pay rent! Get my own apartment, pay utilities, etc...should I still submit fee waiver????

If you are renewing the EAD using same category C9 you don’t have to pay the fees and inform this to Uscis, because it seems who issued the RFE has no clue about immigration Law.

Hello sandranj,

In this Post you said that USCIS will no longer issue new RFE requests for Police Clearance. "USCIS will not issue RFE to ask police clearance anymore."
What you just said I guess it applies to Vawa applications filed after September 11. Could you please clarify this?

On the other hand, I would like to know how it would be possible to obtain a Back ground Check with a name that is not the real name of the person requesting this record, I understand that when you request a record of no criminal record one uses an identity document with his real name.

Thank you very much Sandra for your usual great collaboration !!

Yes it applies to Vawa applications received after Sep 11,2018.

You need to check in your State what they require to issue the police clearance,in NYC they issue the police clearance with any name that you ask them.

Friday one member of visa journey asked a police clearance in NYC with one of the names he had in his utility bill, his name was misspelled, they told him it will be ready in 15 days.
