This is incorrect. @Damara discussed this probably 30 pages back or so in this forum. The official USCIS memorandums do not state this.

So what’s the correct information?that as a Vawa green card holder you can’t married until after you become citizens?so you will have to wait until three years later??thats not fair

You can get married whenever you want to after I-360 approval. It will not have any effects on citizenship. You can file for citizenship after 3 years (instead of 5).

Getting married before your VAWA based I-485  is approved may make things tricky and subject the applicant to scrutiny, but after already becoming a LPR your path to citizenship isn't necessarily affected by whether you remarry or not.

Hey all😍😍😘😂 i am new here..but i have been reading amazing and encouraging stories from everyone here.i have smiled and laughed and rejoiced with all the good news on here while silently praying for my turn! I filed for vawa match 2017 but have a pending I-485 which i asked USCIS to hold until my vawa is adjucated which they did. My I-360 still says fees were waved..recently i got an update from uscis that my i485 is being transfered to vermont center to speed up the process..is this strange or what?

It's not strange VSC to ask your I-485 application, but the "speed up the process" is unreal.
