Hi Guys,

My interview is this coming Tuesday at 8am. In my letter, I was asked to take along two ADIT style photos (only if not previously submitted). I still went and got them taken.

Did anyone get the same request in their interview letter?

I was also asked to take documentation proving employment, length of tenure and hours worked each week.

Other documents l requested:

•I-94

•Passport (if your passport is in your maiden name, please take your divorce decree and marriage certificate).

•Medical exam  (if not previously submitted. Still attend interview if you haven’t gotten it done.)

I did mine early 2017, so I got another done, just in case they say it has expired.

Also, is there anyone who just had an interview? How did it go? Did you attend with or without a lawyer? Did they ask about the abuse?

I am doing my best to be positive, but I can’t help feeling a bit nervous. Please keep me in your prayers.

Good luck!!!!

So after I wrote that I just get another email from uscis that they are still reviewing my case, the last time I got this email is 10 days ago? I hope someone is looking at my case, praying for the best

I get them about every 2 weeks even on my approved forms (previous I-765/I-360). They are messy with online updates and sending those emails. What matters is the date in the email when they last took action because that is the date someone last touched your case. So if that date changed from last time to this time, then someone looked at it. If it’s the same date, then unfortunately the update email doesn’t mean anything.

I had no idea about this can you please help me with erasing the post????????? I can for sure to an specialist over the phone, its only a week away!!!!!!!!! she is a family immigration attorney

Okay well then then tell your attny you guys want the specialist and ask how to get in touch with them.

Is your attny a VAWA attny? Meaning does she file a lot of 485 and would say its her specialty? Or does she have experience with 9c EWI?

There are only a few people on VJ that could really give you advice because of how complex this is. I dont know that they are going to see this and respond before the interview. Have you tried posting on ***removed*** forums? they deal with complex cases.

She has done a few VAWA cases, and for sure she doesn't have experience with the 9C, Can you help me or recommend me someone with knowledge about this even if I have to pay. I sure I can do this over the phone.

Thanks in Advance.

You can try the other forum or make a new post in the Effects of Major changes subforum on here. You can post the same thing you posted in the VAWA thread and mention you also posted in the VAWA thread but are looking for more input and was told to make a post there. Make the title something like "attny reccomendation needed 9c EWI VAWA. " You are not really suppose to make the same post in different sections but not everyone reads the VAWA thread. If the mods get mad you can blame me for telling you to do this.

I dont have an attny recommendations. Most people on VJ are do-it-yourself cases. There are a few well known attnys that are recommended consistently. So if you make the post in the Effects section more people will see it and you should get some attny names to contact.

Congratulations! When was your Vawa approved and what’s your local office?

Thank you! I filed I-360 in January 9, 2017, then i-485 and I-765 in April  11 2017 my vawa was approved May 22 2018. And my interview is September 18 2018. My field office is Raleigh NC.

I got the interview notice yesterday so I spent all day getting my new medical, the one I submitted before expired. It seems the interview is short notice, just 1 week.
