4 weeks is standard, sometimes it can take a couple weeks longer. This is normal. Took 6 weeks for me.

Trust me, this is probably the shortest wait in the whole process unfortunately.

Hey  Guys

My Lawyer sent EAD Renewal to NBC not Vermont, I got the receipt already and also a letter that they will used my Old fingerprint to process.... I am so Upset (-__-)  right now.  She said my i485 still pending and i have not yet have my initial interview to put my i485 on hold. even thought I already have i360 receipt and prima facie letter,

My field office is NYC and is taking 12-16 months just to get an AOS interview, i Filed i485 on 10/5/17 no interview notice yet. I file i360 on 06/4/18 Receipt on 7/5/18

Does NBC rerouted to Vermont or do I need to file a new EAD renewal to VERMONT please advise me. ??

Hello Everyone,

It's been almost 2 years since I started this process. My i-485  has been in the NBC since May 2018 and status changed to Case Is In Line For An Interview  I am in New York City, so  I don't know whether this is merely to indicate the transfer to the field office or if I will actually receive a notice for an interview date.

USCIS customer service rep said they processed the medical on 5/29/2018 but I never submitted a medical (i-693)!!!!

@sandranj and @Damara Should I get my medical exam or Is it not necessary since they haven't required it or Should I just wait until I actually receive a formal notice?

Considering that your case was in the NBC in May 2018 then the update  means your case reached the local office, but NYC takes between 12/15months to schedule the AOS interview.

Hello everyone! I filed i-485 and i-360 concurrently in October 2016. Vawa was approved in July 2018. And in August 2018 my I-485 was transferred to my local office. My question is - what's the i-485 case inquiry date? August 2018 when the case was transferred to my local office? Or October 2016 when it was originally filed?

I'm curious to estimate my i-485 interview.

August 2018.

It depends. Sometimes they send it back to you and sometimes they transfer it. It seems like they will transfer your I-765 to Vermont if they already made the comment to use your old fingerprints. It will unfortunately just take longer because of the transfer. Even after your VAWA approval, you always have to file I-765 and I-131 with Vermont.

You mean that after vawa was approved and waiting for interview, if the filler needs to renew EAD, he/she has to send it to Vermont, not to local office?

Thank you for your clarification.

Thank you for confirmation. I only want to get experience for my case going through.
