To any one who have done this, I am trying to put documents together to answer the request for additional evidence to prove bona-fide marriage. I am trying to get my mom to write me a letter from my country about her knowledge of our marriage. does the affidavit need to be notarized for it to be considered credible? or I should just forget about it.

This is crazy after 15 months an rfe smh...what was it for ?

bona-fide marriage and shared residence, they said the once I submitted was insufficient. For example they said the automobile insurance was not supported with prove that the account was maintained and paid for by both of us.

I am trying to gather what I can to respond

The updates both said they touched my case. Once in May then August. I haven't had an rfe. I hope so. It's been a long time

Here is a list of what I submitted with my I-360 concerning bonafide marriage and proof that we lived together. Hope this helps, especially if you don’t have a lot of bills under both of your names (I had none):

- Described courtship in detail in my affidavit

-Marriage certificate with apostille

-Submitted pictures together, pictures with us and his family, pictures with us and my family, pictures with us and friends, pictures from the wedding

- Letter from the couple we sublet a room from confirming that we lived together and the time frame

- My family members mentioning in their affidavit that they visited us in our place when they vacationed in the US and confirming validity of the marriage

- A letter from me explaining exactly why we had no bills or accounts in both of our names

- A copy of my DS-260 for my J1 visa stating the address we lived at as my place to stay

You lose nothing to have her notorize the letter. I’ll just have everything notarized just to be on a safer side.

Hello @Sandra,please I need your help,I want to apply for work permit,my Vawa was approved last week and I need to apply for adjustment of status too how do I do it?am I applying through Vermont?thanks for reading!

Hi.I just saw your message today.I am on vacation in Belgium and in a few days I am going to Amsterdam. If your spouse is a US Citizen file forms I-485,I-765(CATEGORY C9),I-864W, I-131(optional),G1145 and if you can't afford to pay USCIS fees file form I-912. The medical exam you can hold for a while to submit because the medical exam is  valid for just 12months  and VAWA is taking 15/19 months to be adjudicated. You need to submit proof of your VAWA approval, copy of your birth certificate and translation, copy of your marriage certificate and copy of the divorce decree,if any, copy of your passport (all pages, including pages in blank) copy of your I-94 pictures(passaport style).

Hello everyone, I have a question. I filed my vawa on Jan. 2018 based on mental abuse. I sent a 3-4 pages psy evaluation because I only took 5 times therapies at that time. But for now, I want to send an updated evaluation because I already took 10 more therapies. The psychiatrist told me that she can write 6 pages updated evaluation and diagnosis are more serious than before (an adjusted disorder with depressed mood to long-term depression). Can this evaluation meet the conditions for mental abuse? I also got the PF. Thank you.
