Well, l had a bad experience during my interview that led to an argument between my lawyer and the officer. The supervisor had to intervene. Reason being, the officer wanted to know details about my vawa case but my lawyer stopped her. She was not supposed to ask anything about Vawa. The supervisor told the officer not to ask anything other than the yes/no questions. The officer was not happy at all. She told me that my case was being held for further review. Fast forward 15 months later, instead of sending me an Rfe about some document, she sent me a notice of intend to deny. My lawyer was furious because she included that document with my application. She went to the uscis office the following day with a copy of that document. Not sure what she said to them but my case was approved immediately.

You can give us that lawyer's contact, it's hard to find good lawyers, when someone finds someone I think it's good to recommend, so other people can have a good lawyer too!

Hi @sandranj I just filed a 4 pages evaluation on Jan 2018 because I didn’t have enough therapies at that time. Now I have participated in 10+ therapies. Can I send an new evaluation to USCIS even though I don’t receive any rfe for evaluation?

If you have a new evaluation you can submit with a copy of your VAWA RECEIPT.

USCIS wont issue RFE like before, the person should mail them all evidences when filing Vawa or before the adjudication.

Thank you for your reply. But I am the 2018 Jan. Filer, does the new policy(about RFE)also affect my application?

The memo says this about the effective date:

"Effective Date

This updated guidance is effective September 11, 2018 and applies to all applications, petitions, and requests received after the effective date."

Does this mean petitions received before Sep 2018 are not getting RFE's anymore either? I filed in 2017 and was hoping that they would issue an RFE if anything was missing, because I also have more evidence like a permanent restraining order against my abuser that I got after I filed my I-360. Thank you for your answers!

It is effective from Sept and I don't think it's applicable to old cases.   I am April 2017 filler, I did not send medical records with my application because it wasn't available then, and they just sent me RFE (additional evidence)  though I haven't received it in the mail yet, hopefully by tomorrow I should know what it is.

If you came on a J1 visa you'll understand. If you didn't come with J1 visa then you don't need it.
