I too have gotten this email, my attorney was able to find out that when I received it the last 2 times was when my file was transferred to NBC and dispatched from NBC.

@Military I was just reading some of your post and your case is very similar to mine. My VAWA was approved Sept 5th but I haven't received any updates after the approval. I haven't received the email that my case was transferred or anything else. Well I always get that email that my case is still under review (even though I have approval notice in my hands) My I-485 was on hold until VAWA approval. Did you received any notification from USCIS after approval and before interview notice? Thank you so much!!

Thanks@ilo, he told me that he marked renewal under category C9 but I don't know why C31 again. Please do you know where I can marked or write category C9 in the form  ? Thanks

My attoney filed my EAD C31 along I485, I131 with my abuser USC, but i had received EAD C09 after 4 months getting receipts from USCIS.

It's my experience. I am not sure for your case. Hope you will get your EAD soon.

All you do is write a letter inquiring about the status of your I-360 petition, referring to the current processing times. Also attach a copy of your receipt notice and all other communication you may have received regarding your I-360. Make sure to mention your A number and I-360 case number.

@Psquare  I filed for asylum and I was in removal proceedings.I was attending the hearings. few years after,I  got married .After I divorced my attorney put the asylum on hold and then I filed for Vawa and I also have a pending 1485.Today I got the  mail scheduling me with deportation officer and it says reason for appointment is for order of recognizance compliance. It asked me to bring my I 94 and any valid ID for this appointment.

calm down and explain your case...was it the denial of asylum that led u to removal or you were already in removal proceedings before,,and what are the documents you attached to your vawa application??

Hello All,

My Vawa I-360 filed dated August 31, 2016 is still pending. I only received the request to provide the police clearance back in October 2016 and have not received any update since then. My lawyer keep stating that there is a backlog with Vawa cases and that he just heard that somebody was called for an interview for a I-360 to the field office who filed a month before me (July 2016) with 2 weeks notice in advance. Is it really take this long? How rare is it to be called for an interview without filing I-485? Can the lawyer directly inquire and receive more information other than the case is pending? The only inquiries my lawyer made were with supervisor in the field office and was told to wait. We sent a letter to Vermont office requesting to provide an update 4 months ago but have not received any response back either. Thank you for any advice!

It doesn’t exist interview for Vawa cases.

I already have my EAD C09. I applied for c31 just to be safe because I don’t know the status on I-485 yet and God forbid if it doesn’t get approved my c09 category will be cancelled and I lose the job. Although I’m wondering why I was charged $410 for EAD c31. Isn’t it exempted from the filing fees?

Thank you 🙏

@sandranj - your help is kindly appreciated.

My 1st EAD C09 was waved. I paid $410 for the 2nd C31 as well. I didn't want to delay my case so i tried to pay the fee for it.
