Well she is wrong. Per the link that I posted, the memorandum, it was added that VAWA based GC holders can apply for naturalization after 3 years.

My attorney received a phone call from VSC re the issue. The file was sent back to them because of "Administrative Error" and is now at NYC Local office as at Aug 14. My attorney says she will write to the Supervisor of the NYC Local Office to probe such administrative error and ask that an interview be scheduled. 

NYC is taking  9/12 months to schedule an interview. They will not schedule/expedite   because of this error, it was different if the case was pushed back for a few months  but it was just a few days.

i got my EAD in the mail today but i am very disappointed. The date of issue is march 2018 and it expires in march 2019. Cat C09. Not sure why it is like that. I may have to renew it ASAP.

Does any one know how long it takes to renew a EAD now a days. My VAWA is still pending. I filed VAWA in April 2017 along with i485 and EAD.

I received the approval notice on Monday and the online update that the card was mailed yesterday.

Congrats Ahmad .. It might takes 5/7 Months to renew a Ead .. Try to do it as soon as possible .

I too have gotten this email, my attorney was able to find out that when I received it the last 2 times was when my file was transferred to NBC and dispatched from NBC.

My vawa was approved on Sept 5th. I haven't received any transfer notice or anything after approval. Is there anyone in the same situation? :(

Hi guys, 

 

Congrats to all of you who have gotten updates/approval.

 

My question here is about a lawyer. I hired him to file my VAWA, so far I know he sent the I-360 form, whenever I asked him to file EAD under c9 he ignored me and I think he sent it on c31, never gave me a receipt number and said it probably got lost in the mail (I-765). I was supposed to pay him $1500 in installments for my case. I paid $500 then I decided not to continue. I asked many times to send a letter to USCIS an let them know he no longer represents my case but he won't do it, as a result all of my letters are delivered to his office in Houston where I don't have access to as I moved back to FL.  Although I sent 3 notarized letters to USCIS with change of address, and a separate one to let them know he is not my lay they still send everything to his law office and he won't send anything back to me...

 Has anybody here had  similar experiences? Is he supposed to keep all of my paper work? 

 

My second questions is about VAWA. I reached 1 year of filing in August. I received the Prima Facie in Sept 23 2017. Will I get a new one valid for 1 year or just another automatic one valid for 2-3 months?
