Folks  the new NTA policy memorandum carrying out the Executive Order became effective Monday. if you had I-485 denied they will issue the NTA. Some people had form I-485 denied and filed I-360 and they didn't file I-485 yet. It's advised to refile the I-485 asap. Speak with your attorney about it

Hi .. Please I have question for you or anyone know the answer .. My sister she just noticed a mistake or error made on her i 765 application form lawyer assistant who filled up her application .                           Now what about an 765 application for renew work permit made with inadvertent error about marital status .

1-What will happen for her i765 case now?

2-Would effect  i485 case pending ? Would they will denied her 485 or replaced in removal proceedings ?

God bless you .

The attorney should submit a letter to correct the mistake. They will not put her in removal proceedings because of an error in the form I-765. To be placed in removal the AOS needs to be denied.

My i-485 (based on the approved Vawa) status is "transferred to another office" as of August 2018. If I change the address, will the countdown for the i-485 interview starts from the beginning (as they will have to relocate my case)?

Please advise.

They will count the date that your file got in the local office.

Hello everyone,
I appreciate in advance if someone can get me out of the following doubt:
When an RFE response is sent to USCIS, does USCIS send a document via physical mail notifying that USCIS received the response to the RFE or simply USCIS updates on the Web system claiming that it received the RFE response without sending a physical notification?
Thanks in advance for your comments!

Sometimes they notify in their website that the RFE was received, but the site is not reliable.

Folks I am disgusted with mistakes made by some attorneys when they fill out the forms. When the attorney gives you the forms to sign DO NOT sign until you make sure that the attorney filled out correctly the forms, please observe the dates, such as your marriage date, dates, and places where you lived, dates and places where you worked etc. If you notice some mistake now then when attending the interview upfront tell the Immigration officer that you noticed some mistakes in your forms and you want to correct right there.

Hi Everyone!!

I need some advice @sandranj

My vawa was approved on Sept 9th 2018. On August 2nd I had sent a letter to change my address form AR11 signed by me. The letter was delivered but I never received a conformation. What should I do? I want to make sure USCIS has updated my address in both I-360 and I-485. The other thing is I want to remove my lawyer for the I-360 he has been so unprofessional and my vawa got approved because god is good. He has no idea about vawa process. I don't know how that would work since I-360 has been approved already. What can I do?

Thank you!!

Go to infopass to confirm if they updated your address.

Fire your attorney and submit a NOTARIZED letter to Vermont to  inform that you are representing yourself and mention that your attorney is not representing you anymore.Ask your attorney to inform USCIS as well.

Submit 2 passport photos, if you decide to file form I-131 then submit 4 passport photos. Copy of your passport, Copy of I-94, if you have. Copy of marriage or divorce decree, if any. I know you are submitting based on the abuse that you son inflicted upon you, but you have to submit a copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree, if any, as I mentioned before. Submit form G1145.

Priority date is the date when an immigration petition was filed. You can use the calculator below to see if your number is current. Your category is F2A.

You mean that if a person has been denied an I-485 (marriage) in the past and then submits I-360 and I-485 through Vawa, USCIS will not send you an NTA policy memorandum because it has a new I-485 pending approval?
Thanks in advance for your reply!

Hi there.

I just have have a quick question.

I applied to VAWA a while back (in 2017) and thankfully it got approved a few days ago:) so I’m very grateful for that.

However, I filed my i130 and i485 back in 2016 (through marriage to a US citizen) and it was put on hold while my vawa was adjudicated.

A couple of months ago, I moved to a different state so I changed my address as instructed by USCIS. Is this gonna affect how fast they are gonna process my adjustment of status? Because I understand that if you change your address it may affect the processing time of your case.  What’s next? What’s my timeline gonna look like now that I’m in a different state? What approximate date am I looking to be interviewed?

Thanks in advance!!
