Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) DOWN

The Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) website is the ONLY way for sponsors living outside the US to file an AOS or a DS-260 HOWEVER, the CEAC has been DOWN for DAYS and only today did they change the 'undergoing maintenance' display message to half-way acknowledge something serious has happened.

Worst of all, they sent me an email saying there is a message for me at the ceac and I must logon to read it! It's infuriating because there is no way for me to read that message. They didn't even seem to know that the ceac was down. They certainly didn't mention it.

I called them and they declined to offer anything more than 'you should periodically try to logon.'

Nobody else here seems to notice this problem. At least I have not seen any messages about it.

Nice estimate of 7/27, but 7/30 has come and gone. Still down! Still NO explanation of ANY KIND about what has happened and the message you get when you try to access the system STILL claims it is down for 'maintenance.' That's obviously completely false!
