YOU MUST APPEAR FOR THIS INTERVIEW- If an emergency, such as your own illness or a close relatives hospitalization, prevents you from appearing, call the USCIS at 1-800-375-5283 as soon as possible. Please be advised that rescheduling will delay processing of your application/petition, and may require some steps to be repeated. It may also affect your eligibility for other immigration benefits while this application is pending.”   This is directly from our AOS interview letter we received today. I would not miss the interview and would simply tell them that your passport will be available ASAP. The letter also states that a Government-issued photo identification must be brought in order to enter the building and to verify his/her identity. Your EAD/AP combo card qualifies for that.

Thanks!yeah, I called USCIS yesterday and the girlwho answered my call also told me to go to the interview and explain to the IO during the interview. We scheduled an appointment to infopass next Wednesday and want to make sure we are fine for the interview. It's really rudh for us to prepare all documents within 2 weeks. but we are trying to get as many as we can for the interview now.

Just an update to all of you who helped to answer my question before. I went to interview today and got approval! We're very lucky that the officer was really nice and he didn't ask me my passport at all. So just asked us a few simple questions. Then told us we got approved! And he also told us how to apply the 10 years green card after 2 years(although I don't really remember, lol). But just everything went well!We are happy that we didn't reschedule it!
