Onine N400 application-5 yrs asking marriage certificate as required evidence

Hi,

I am preparing the N400 online application based on 5 year rule for my parents who have been permanent residents for 11 years.

For some reason when I get to the Evidence page, it lists "Your marriage certificate" as a required evidence. And also it lists birth certificates for me and mine brother as additional evidence needed.

I am wondering why is this being asked for 5 year based applications

 

My parents were married in 1970's and they only have a marriage certificate the church.

Please let me know what can be done

If you're married, you need to attach the marriage certificate.  If you have kids, you need to attach their birth certificates.  These won't be dealbreakers, but they are asking for them from everyone.
