Roughly how long..

Sorry to ask but just wanted a rough timeline.

 

I had my K1 interview & was approved on Friday 20th July & my CEAC tracker changed to Non-Immigrant, Application received (briefly), then Administrative processing on Monday 23rd July - how long roughly will I be in AP for?

It was 2 days for me and 2-7 days seems to be the average on the K1 FB group i'm in.

AP can be any range of time, tbh....sorry if I don't have a definite answer for you.

If thats true then why did the say my visa will be with me within 2 weeks when i was approved? :S confusing

Members on here have been approved in person but then put into AP status - pending review of an officer higher in rank than the IO. It could be that something showed up on your case that was not immediately seen when the interview was being conducted.

 

Rest easy...if 2 weeks pass and no info, then give them a call.

What?! Everyone ive spoken to in the UK sub forum has been put into AP as its a routine thing, i just wanted to know rough timelines. please dont put unessacery fear into me.

I posted in the UK sub forum to see what others timelines were.

 

There is nothing about my relationship that would suddenly raise red flags after a verbal

approval. 

 

Im just curious of the routine AP timeline so would appreciate others to reply if they see this.

If everything with your visa is normal - which it seems to be from what you've said then AP should only last a few days. 

Unfortunately, the status updates don't follow a pattern thats the same for everyone but London is moving pretty fast at the moment. My interview was on the 18th, status changed to 'Application Recieved' for two days and then AP before being issued on tuesday afternoon. From my research whilst I waited, it seemed that most people go from Ready - issued within 7 days but the status order can vary. You don't have anything to worry about as of right now, tbh... I've only seen people with complicated cases or some red flag be in AP for a long time. This doesn't seem to apply in your case!! Fingers crossed for you that it comes tomorrow, before the weekend.

As my interview was a Friday & the weekend followed they obviously arent classed as working days so ive lost 2 days kinda

Very strange, because I had my interview on the 23rd of July and my status has changed to Issued already.  I was in AP for less than a day.

 

I wouldn't worry too much you didn't get a 221G or anything so they might just be running some extra checks if they need anything else they will be in contact with you.

 

But I'm sure it will change very soon.
