Im asking this info for a friend.. I know that for my family members in the Philippines, its very difficult to obtain a visitors visa. "High fraud" countries want a boatload of $$ in the bank, some kind of property thats their own, and many other things that tie that person to come back to their home country.

I was wondering if anyone here has any knowledge of whats needed, or expected that would allow a Thai national to visit the US.

Thanks in advance..

For most part same thing. It's really the same for all countries. Strong ties. As mentioned about the Philippines, it can be tough, same would apply for Thailand I would have to assume as with a lot of other Asian countries.

Having more ties to the US as in spouse/fiance/bf/gf whatever is never good. Why would they go home after visiting? So proving that they have no intent to remain in the US is key by job, family, property, assets, ect.

Same as anyone else looking for a visitor visa.

Filipino or Thai does not matter.  Same rules.
