As already answered, they don’t need wet signatures. If you have good steady income, letters from hr and the bank are really not necessary. Whatever you have right now should be more than enough

Can you comment on this information concerning "originals" including "wet" signatures for Brazil. It was told to me by another member that all documents must be originals. There is just some confusion on my part and I want to be sure that I am responding with most current information. Thanks.

Documents related to financial support can be copies. I emailed them about this, and that's what they replied.

As you can see, the consulate staff responded saying they accept copies, that’s a very recent response, so it’s up to date info.

If you noticed, my answer you quoted was to the same poster from your linked thread. Hopefully now they know best.

Thanks for the update. Can you return back after your interview and just confirm that this actually is the case. Just want to be sure.

The packet 3 is actually clear on what originals they want: Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Termination of Marriages. Some other things they accept certified copies. But there's no mention to original on financial support.

But I'll let you know how it went after the interview.

Hey guys!

I’m kinda new to this website, and I’ve been reading some of the topics, but I couldn’t find the answer to what I need. So here’s hoping somebody might be able to help me... *fingers crossed*

I’m starting to gather all the documents I’m gonna need to take to the interview (which I haven’t scheduled yet, still waiting for the P3 from the consulate in Rio). And I read I need police certificates for all the countries I’ve lived for more than 6 months. Considering the only countries I’ve lived are Brazil and the USA, do I need police certificate for these 2? I’ve tried getting one from the New York State police through my fiancé, but the police does not release this kind of information to a third party. Considering I’m applying to the USA, they probably have more access to that info than I would ever have...So do I need a police certificate for my time in the USA?

Thanks

You do not need police certificates from the US (as you thought, US federal government organizations have better access to this information than you do).

Does Brazil require the US petitioner to provide a new letter of intent to marry for the interview? I'm so mad I just sent my fiance documents and I should have sent that too.

I know that the consulate website requires the "Sworn Marriage Statement" form, but is that required from the petitioner or beneficiary?

I found this checklist here on VJ. It's from 2017, but I'm following it. It says Declaração Sob Juramento, which I believe is a new intent to marry letter.

Thank you! I think for the most part matches the instructions here: https://br.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee/the-interview-2/

I'm just curious if they require a new letter from both of us or just the beneficiary. I guess I will just send him a new letter to prevent any trouble.

The declaração sob juramento was a paper stating you were telling the truth and whatnot at the interview, it’s just for the k1 applicant. They did not ask for any updated sworn statements for the usc. That was the same paper I was given at my interview late 2015.

Can anyone comment on their experience of the delivery of their visa? Our CEAC status went to issued on Feb 14. It has been 1 week and we have not heard anything. We have not received tracking information or anything. The ais.usvisa-info.com website doesn't have any information on it. We don't know where to go to find out what might be happening with it. We called the number for that website and they could only read to us what was on the website. I sent emails today, but we will have to wait a while to receive a response. Is the wait time for delivery normal because? It feels crazy long to wait for a tracking number or any type of notice. We selected to have it shipped to the ASC location in Belo. Thanks all!
