Exactly. Since you do the exams after the medical appointment, you can't get the results on the same day. I'm asking a friend to pick my results and mailing them to me.

Ohh thats fine i will ask one of my friend to pick up for me because i cant travel back. Thats gross

Don’t they send it directly to the embassy?

On the email they sent me, they said they only send it directly to the embassy if the medical appointment is after the interview, or close enough.

That’s crazy... if they don’t give you the results right away then they should send it to the embassy themselves.

Hello!

Quick questions here!! For the form 134 affidavit support:

1.) Do they have to have everything with wet signature? I have sent my fiance all of the ones with wet signatures with the exception of the letter from my job since HR is not easily accessible. They sent it to me electronically with my company's head-letter. Can anyone tell me if that will be an issue?

2.) My bank (Wells Fargo) wouldn't write me a letter with "total deposited of 1 year", but they did type up a very professional one with the total that I have in my savings, current checking, and how long I have been banking with them....everything super professional and clean with the bank's manager's signature. Will this be a problem?

Every financial support document can be scanned and emailed to your fiancee according to the email they sent me.

Look for something called 'verification of deposits' on their web site. That's what you want for this.

Not enough time unfortunately 😕. From many reviews I’ve read and people I know that went through this process and had their k1 visa approved here in Rio, it’s safe to say it could take at the very least if you’re lucky 1 week. I wouldn’t count on it though, after the approval you have to wait until your status change to “Issued” and then wait again to have it sent to either the ASC (CASV in Rio, if you chose this option when you scheduled and paid your interview) or your mail address, and that could take another week. Not to mention they can put you on Administrative Processing and there’s no estimated time, it could take several weeks depending on your case and what they want.

If I get approved, I’m expecting to have my visa in hand 3 weeks after my interview if I’m lucky. I’d say that’s the average time.

Oh this is so unfortunate, Definitely a deal breaker for me. Thanks! I'll guess I'l change my application and choose shipping the passport to my address. Can the status be checked online (like we did on the CEAC) and are we provided a tracking code (do they use correios or a different courier? I really hate correios...).?

Yes after the status changes to Issued you have to wait for them to contact you through email and provide you a link to schedule a day to go pick up your passport at the CASV or an email with your tracking number if you chose to have it sent to your address. I’m pretty sure they’ll use correios, probably a Sedex. That’s what I heard from people who had their visa sent to their mail boxes. I chose to pick up visa at the CASV in Rio, so I can’t say for sure what courier they use. Hope it helps : )

It’s sent to the address you want to if you choose to do it that way. They use Sedex. If no problems occur, it should reach you within 2 weeks. Once they mail it out, you’ll receive an email with the tracking number so you can keep checking the status

No  you need to take it with you

That’s unfortunate. I know the doctor in Rio sends it out to the embassy, I opted to go to the doctor in bh because she handed my results by the end of my appointment, I wanted to make sure I had it before my interview

As already answered, they don’t need wet signatures. If you have good steady income, letters from hr and the bank are really not necessary. Whatever you have right now should be more than enough

One more question for you guys that have already been through the interview process!!

How long was the wait for you to pick up your passport (for the pick up option)??

It really varies from case to case. Our interview was February 5 and she will pick her passport up today, February 13. But I know she said one of the other women who had her interview the same day still shows her status as "ready" on the CEAC site. So, it is very difficult to say when it will be "issued" and ready to pickup.
