Guys,

I'm just trying to work out some sort of timescale, and wondered how soon people are getting their interview dates when they get a CC for an IR1 - CR1 visa

Thanks

In our case, it was 5 days from CC email to the "this is your interview date" email......in 2017.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

2 weeks for us from "CC" to notice of interview date. In Romania. This can vary by embassy but most IR1/CR1's seem to get the notice in less than a couple of weeks.

So you had your interview 2 weeks later on July 9th?

No, it was 2 weeks to the "notice" of our interview date. The interview itself is on August 22nd.

OK, that's the information I'm after... So your CC was June 25th and interview booked for August 22nd... so just over 8 weeks :D

Initially, I called and was given a medical appointment for 23rd August (2 days after interview). But I called back a few days later to ask was there any chance of something earlier and they were able to give me 9th August!

That's great... was your interview date of August 21st the earliest available?

With a spouse visa, you don't really get a choice. The NVC picks the date and tells you when it is.  It works differently than the fiancé visas who log in and see what slots are available to choose themselves.
