K1 Paperwork - Any change?

Hi guys. I heard through a long, unreliable grapevine that in February of this year the K1 paperwork changed to "include a lot more documents". The original person said their lawyer told him to file the K1 paperwork asap because if he waited until after 2/1/2018 it would be "a lot more".

It sounds suspicious. I don't remember any change except a larger fee, and that before February. Then again, I haven't looked into k1's in depth since ours a few years ago.

I'm curious - anyone heard anything about this?

Maybe they meant Feb. 2017 or so? That's when they incorporated the G-325A into the I-129F. But even then, it mostly just moved information from the G-325A to the I-129F, although there were some circumstances where added documentation were added (records for the criminal history of the petitioner, even if there was not IMBRA-related crime involved).

I'm unaware of any such changes in the form or required documentation this year. They supposedly are being more strict on documentation and therefore issuing RFEs for some items they hadn't done so in the past, but filing before 2/1/2018 would have no impact on that.

Not true. Maybe they mean make sure to include more evidence due the current political climate in the US? but as geowrian said, the only change made was the exclusion of the G-325A as is now part of the I-129F itself. The only thing that is considered "more", is the waiting time.  6-7mo for a NOA2 now a day vs 3-4 months for a NOA2 back in 2014. And is expected to go higher.
