I-129F out of normal time ( has anyone before called USCIS in such a situation)

Agreed..what is "unfair"? We don't know the precise reasons one case takes longer than another, and even if it is essentially random, there's no reason to believe some have a better shot of being picked up by an IO sooner than another.

The current wait is stressful, awful, etc., but there's nothing to suggest an unfairness.

7/27/20: Sent forms to Dallas lockbox, 7/30/20: Received by USCIS, 8/10 NOA1 electronic notification received, 8/1/ NOA1 hard copy received

AOS:

9/25/17: sent forms to Chicago, 9/27/17: received by USCIS, 10/4/17: NOA1 electronic notification received, 10/10/17: NOA1 hard copy received. Social Security card being issued in married name (3rd attempt!)

10/14/17: Biometrics appointment notice received, 10/25/17: Biometrics

1/2/18: EAD + AP approved (no website update), 1/5/18: EAD + AP mailed, 1/8/18: EAD + AP approval notice hardcopies received, 1/10/18: EAD + AP received

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

5/1/2017: Case received by Manila (1 week embassy transfer??? Lucky~)

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

8/15/2017: POE

It is really not fair....

Unfortunately there are people from November still waiting.  Hope you get your answer very soon!!!!

My case is 1 day after normal time so I called USCIS and the immigration guy did a special request for me and said in the coming 15 days you will receive a mail explaining why your case is still pending or you might get approval too.

you will need a lot of paitience, because what is coming after this...aint fast either. AOS is taking close to 2+ years in some cases

10/3/2018                  We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time (this is insanity, 4th time while some got GC)

10/17/2018                After 136 days of wait in HELL, finally EAD in production

10/21/2018                Card was mailed to me, and yes it said so on a Sunday night, while Vj-ing

10/22/2018                Card was picked up by the USPS

10/24/2018                EAD in hand. F%^&& finally

12/28/2018                Interview has been scheduled. Waiting for notification with date by snail mail

it'll get there... keep the faith. November filer here, got our noa1 last nov.29. Noa2 last May 16. June 16 received packet 3.till now still gathering documents.

We have some people waiting from June 2017 still. And that is only from Visajourney active posters in the progress report thread, I bet there would be people waiting longer than that outside of visa journey. 

 

The process does take too long IMO, and it seems there is a significant amount of downtime where the case is awaiting an adjudicator. Personally I feel it is a reflection on poor management in the organization.

 

That being said, your case pales in comparison to others that I mentioned waiting over a year.

that's the name of the group.

 

It's mainly Filipinos (tagalog posts) and Americans, but all are welcome.

Nov 1st filer here still no NOA2. No rfe either. Be patient you could possibly be waiting a while.
