First question: I thought the sponsor and/or co-sponsor did not have to disclose assets if their income is above 125% of the poverty line? My co-sponsor is unwilling to indicate assets including:

Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial

institutions where you have deposits, identifying the

following details regarding your account:

1. Date account opened;

2. Total amount deposited for the past year;

3. Present balance.

Not to mention, my co-sponsor has four savings accounts and two checking accounts. I am assuming you put N/A in the parts asking for this information and just fill out relevant parts disclosing income and providing evidence.

Second question: Since I have no assets and am applying on my SSI income, what do I put in the boxes asking for amounts?

Ephesus,

A sponsor does not have to disclose anything that they do not want to disclose. But it should go without saying that they do have to disclose sufficient financial resources to qualify as a sponsor. If income is marginal or below requirements, and assets will not be disclosed, then look for another sponsor.
