Hello,
I hope somebody can help me on which path would be better for my fiancee and I.  I am a US citizen living in America, however my fiancee is Moroccan, but he is living and working KSA. He is contracted to work in KSA until February 2020. What I am confused about it is the process timing. We are planning on getting married in January 2019, and start the CR-1 process while he is living KSA, however, once his contract is up, he must leave KSA and return to Morocco. So should we just wait until the contract is up and start the CR-1 process or just start the process while he is in KSA.

When you file the I130 you will put all his address history and current and previous job history it it will take from 6 to 8 month to get approved if he moved while its pending back to Morocco you will need send uscis letter saying he changed address and it will be on the notice you receive when you call them they will tell you where to send if you reach NVC stage you can still update NVC directly after you get case number .

because his contract finish 2020 that is almost a year i would wait a month or two then file so by time you reach NVC will be end of year and he must check requirement if he need get any police clearance from KSA and that you  can check on on travel state site because any country he been resident more than 6 month they will need a police clearance.

Just make sure he is back before you start NVC  that what i would time it if i was you congrats in advance and good luck in all your plans.
