Hello!

I came to the states to work in a camp for children with a J1 Visa. My visa has been shut down after leaving the camp and now I'm spending my 30 day grace period as a tourist. I'm in a really bad financial status, so I need money. However I can't take work legally. I don't have paper so usually places dont even have the chance to hire me. But there are options, like training periods, to work and get paid through my SSC# number without needing the visa. As far as I know this is illegal too.

My concern is that are these payments going to be linked to my profile? Am I getting into any trouble in the future if I take some of these works? ( for example problem when flying home, getting banned from the states, etc).

Thank you in advance for your help.

If you get paid, and they're taking deductions for SS, yes, that info will be reported to SS and the IRS. There will be a clear record of you working illegally (a paper trail so to speak).

Don't mean to be rude, but isn't it best to return to your home country and get work there, before you get possibly caught here and ruin all your chances of ever coming back to the USA?

If not caught you can probably eventually live in the White House like Malania

If caught, you can be detained and the business who hired you can be fined

That’s not really funny. Why can people show respect for our country instead of continuously putting it and our president down?  Bad taste, IMO.

Be great when we elect a president who applies the same rules to himself and his family that he applies to others.

Until then, that was pretty funny.

Working illegally will not be a problem when you fly home.  The US Government has no problem with you self-deporting yourself.

Working illegally means you violated the terms of your entry and thus there are consequences.  Kiss returning to the US good-bye.  You will unlikely get another visa.

If you need money, then stop being a tourist.  Focus on buying a ticket home.

Time to go home.

If you're expecting any advices as to how to work illegaly so no one will notice, you'll be disappointed.

Trust me. No one here likes illegal immigrants or illegal workers who just make it harder for honest people who actually want to stick to the rules.

I did forget to mention that the records of that will be stapled to every single attempt to return to the US again.
