I am planning to get my fiance(male) SSN within 2 weeks of entry and then get married. no name change for him.  so when i fill out form I-765 on page 2, Question 13a-15. what was your check boxes? I plan to check yes for 13a and put SSN in 13b if i get it at a reasonable time.  What about question 14 and 15? i heard people are checking yes and they end up with another SS card, I get it if you are a female and need name change. but in my case my fiance (the beneficiary) is a male and is not changing his last name. what would you advise me to do. i figured it doesn't matter what I check, worse that can happen is he gets another card in the mail when he gets EAD?

People seem to latch on to outdated information from years back. I think 2 weeks was to allow I-94 to percolate from PoE via computer systems so verification process at SSA goes faster vs. requiring a "manual" check with USCIS.

from my experience guys i waited for 2 weeks even i did that they asked for manual verification, i got it after 4 weeks
