Hello all!

I am wondering how long it is taking for everyones' approved petitions to get transferred to NVC for processing?

Also, what does it mean when it gets transferred to department of state? Is that a step in the right direction to go to NVC

Thank you!

USCIS approved my case April 16 but NVC did not receive it until May 11. Then it took another eight weeks to get my case number. It's so frustrating because it feels like three months were just wasted. And yes, sending your case to the Dept of State = sent to NVC.

From NOA2 to NVC is anywhere from 12 days to 6 weeks
Typically, after getting your case approved, you may call NVC after about 2 weeks to see if they got your case yet.

The process after NOA2 is detailed here: https://sites.google.com/view/post-noa2/home

So if it was already sent to the department of state that it means it was already sent to NVC;)
