I'll suggest you relax, refocus your time on something else, get busy with something to distract you from waiting.  if all you do is waiting and counting days, you'll get super frustrated. getting NOA2 is not the end of waiting, there a whole new waiting game after that, especially when your file is transfer to Nigeria.  Ill give you example, we got our NOA2 in February and we're still waiting on interview, we just got our package 3 last week.  I'll say relax, dont compare your case with someone else from another country, use other case from Nigeria as comparison, because Nigeria is a whole different animal. According to my lawyer you can go to the interview with the beneficiary but the embassy wouldn't let you in.   But during the interview the beneficiary can let the interviewer know that you're outside, that might count as plus for your case. As for DS160, you both can fill it out together but you have to wait till you after NOA2 and receive your case number. So relax and wait after that. I'll suggest you both filled it out from you personal computer, dont let the beneficiary go to cafe in Nigeria. My fiance tried to do that and someone at the cafe was asking him for my SSN.  Another thing is be careful on how you send your personal document and what you send.  well the list goes on.  Hope that helps

For the DS form, you need all the genesis of your fiance to fill the form out, ill suggest you have the first application that you sent to USCIS handy when filling out the DS, so that everything align together.  Remember all what immigration know about the relationship for now is from you.  DS form is opportunity to know your fiance, and the information in it will be the first impression to the embassy.  So be sure to fill out everyone and accurate.  you'll need your fiance parent info, her education, jobs etc.if you're stock with any question, feel free to reach out, the lawyer went over ours before submit, so i can tell you want he put for some of the questions. After the NVC, be sure to track your file to know when it will get to Nigeria. use this link to track https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== once the statues shows "ready" the you can fill out the DS form and pay for the visa.  You also need to email the embassy in Nigeria for you Package 3 t know where to do you medical exam and get police report before your interview. for the Visa payment, yes your fiance will have to pay at the bank in nigeria, with the passport info.  for now, what ill say should be your priority is making sure that your contact info with USCIS  is accurate and up to date t get status on your case.  Also keep eyes open for someone that you know and trust going to nigeria, if you find someone going to Nigeria, ask them to help you take your personal documents to your fiance (USCIS submitted application, 3 years tax document and evident of relationship). That is the safest way to send your document to avoid any scam.

My Nigerian filers. I heard Nigeria flyers always have to wait for a long time. Help pls! . I have a quick question.

So I filed with the hard copy and did not make any copies of it.

Will my fiance need the i-129f copies for the visa interview? Also, since I am still waiting for NOA2.

I am getting worried and wondering how many pics did u guys send as proof of meeting within 2yrs, cus I remember sending only abt 10.

Will I get a REF?

So my fiance says there are issues in getting new birth certificate bc it got lost. Will that be an issue during the interview in Lagos?

You’ll not need I-129f at the interview but it will be good to have as reference when preparing for interview. Especially with important dates. As for waiting for NOA2, for example we sent our application in July 2018 and we didn’t get NOA2 until February 2019, so it does take time. Don’t worry even if you get REF things will still go well. We got REF but we responded to their request ASAP and we were approved about a week after they received it the requested document. The key is to respond to their request quickly to move things along. Our relationship was less than a year so we sent very few pics too, I think around 10 and no issues. I know someone that have sent 1 picture and still got approved, so you never know with this things. About the birth certificate, my fiancé did had issue with his birth certificate too. You do need the it But during the preparation for the interview, the embassy will send you info on where to go and get updated birth certificate. So relax, everything will fall in place. I do feel you tho, I was like you 6 months ago.

yap, this year application are actually getting approval earlier than us last year.  so you're in better situation than us.  to help better estimate the timing, use the nigeria K1 timeline. Go to K1 statues, filter out Nigeria and sort by NOA1. that will help to see what date Nigerian applicants are getting approval.
