I had the same issue when i booked the appointment, I called the customer care and they fixed it for me. seems like a common issue

Why is it taking so long for them to send package3? Its a week already

You can email them using your case number. I emailed them asking if they got my package and they replied with p3

I think I got mine after 3 days of emailing them. You should email them again using your case number and date of birth of petitioner and beneficiary.

I've filled the ds-160 and booked a date. Immediately after booking a date i saw where you told some in march noa-nvc group to hold on till package3 arrives before booking a date so i thought it may affect the process. I even called the embassy and they said i should hold on till they said the package3.

The booking of an interview is dependent on the rules from an Embassy and therefore unless I know for certain what the embassy's requirements are I will answer that you should  wait till case is set to ready and you're received the P3 letter. If I have information that can help you I will share. Its up to you on how you use the information.  Between the P3 letter and help from your subforum you'll be equipped to judge what you should personally do to complete your visa journey.
