Do I need to wait for a letter from the embassy/consulate before booking an appointment? I've done the ds160, so can I book?

Once you have your case number from NVC you can complete the 160 pay your bank fee and book your interview.

pleaae guys, did any of you schedule your wedding already while waiting for your interview?

Although we have a tentative date in mind (pending the visa approval), we haven’t scheduled ours because all venues want a deposit to secure the date.

Thanks a lot for the encouragement. It's really frustrating especially seeing those with a latter date of NOA1 already getting their own NOA2.

Hoping 4 d best by God's grace 🙏

Hello All,

My fiance never received a packet 3. I don't know if it was suppose to come via email or postal mail. However, we have moved with paying the visa fee, completing the D160, securing supporting docs (medial report & police certificate) and I was able to schedule an appoint for Jan.

My questions for the group: should I be concerned at this point and will anything AT ALL come in an email or postal mail?

I also have unrelated but related questions for measure.

On average, how long will it take to receive the visa packet after the interview? and is it wise to book a flight in advance?

Whats does your case status say?

About packet3, dont worry about it because they will never ask you for it @ this point.. just make sure you go to the embassy with what is needed and be able to answer questions that are asked. It will come in the mail later.

As for booking your ticket, I would say dont book till you receive your visa package at hand.

Waiting time starts from 3days to when the the lagos (us)embassy show to release your package.

Thanks for letting me know.

We've finally heard from them & got an RFE for omitting to tick a tiny box in part 3 of the form.

Responded immediately to the RFE & awaiting our approval asap by God's grace.
