My fiance and I, the petitioner, already filled out and sent the petition.  And the NOA 1 was sent to me April 9th.  We are now waiting for the NOA 2 to be sent to me.  There's only one thing that concerns me:  I currently don't yet make enough money to be above the poverty line requirement.  I am still working on establishing my career so I can make enough money.  It might take another month or month and a half to establish my career.  Is it possible to delay the petition process if necessary?  Thanks.

It takes plus 7 months or more to receive noa2.  Not sure what you need to delay.

USCIS will want to see your current tax returns and paychecks during the embassy stage that might be 10 months away. If you don't make enough, start working on finding a co sponsor.

Oh boy. Please read more about k1 process. It's not just noa2 and done.

I129f petition- nvc stage- embassy stage - marriage- AOS stage - ROC stage. In big shortcut. Not going to get into it because there are countless guides available already.

Your fiance needs to show financial documents during her interview at the Embassy.

My fiance actually just now answered the questions I asked you.  I understand now.  But here's the thing, I can't get a joint sponsor.  My dad and I already did research on that.  They don't allow that for Philippines.  So, I need to know if there's any part of this process that can be delayed if necessary.  Perhaps after the NOA 2, my fiance can take her time getting ready for the interview?

Manila COs rarely ask for an I-134. Have one read just in case.

Manila COs accept a co sponsor on a case by case basis only.

You can delay the interview portion for up to a year...just stay in contact with USEM so the I-129F doesn't expire. They typically renew it for up to a year.

Tax Returns and Paychecks is a country specific requirement.

Not all Embassy's want to see those or require those.

On my first  k1 visa application before, during the interview in Manila, the CO required more documents about the income of my x fiance like assets, bank statement etc. Since he doesn't showed enough income.  Our case was on Administrative Processing. We tried to submit the required documents but still  it wasn't satisfied the CO who reviewed our case, they keep asking for more until my x fiance get tired of it and gave up.

They just want an assurance that we will not end up,  a burden to the government and it's very understandable. I think best thing  to do is u must have a co sponsor. Good luck and God bless

Jesus. If you don’t even know that how can you be filing an immigration petition. Research about what you’re doing before doing it. Educate yourself. It’s not rocket science. Information is easily accessible on the USCIS website and pretty straight forward.

Why are you berating someone who has asked a question about a visa process? Is that not what we are all here for? To help and give advice and insight on this process? A lot of us actually want people to have a successful journey and not run them off (screaming hysterically).

The paperwork is what it is (government paperwork.....aka.....confusing at times).

@SebastianOs   As for the actual question at hand....yes....the process can be extended.....your NOA2 will have an “expiration date” of 4 months.... that being said....you are probably still looking at a good amount of time before the NOA2 is even issued.

USEM = US Embassy Manila

The Manila embassy will automatically renew the approved I-129F for up to a year. But stay in contact with them to make sure anyway.

Okay so my final question for now is, when will the Manila embassy renew the approved I-129F?
