Hello everyone. I filed a fiance petition for my ex husband years ago back in 2009. Unfortunately it did not work out.

I want to file for my fiance now but need some information off the old petition. Unfortunately my ex husband took all that information with him when he moved out years ago and I have no access to any of my old paperwork. The old k1 petition or AOS or anything.

Is there any way to have the USCIS send me copies of my old i-129f petition, NOAs, affidavit of support or any of that stuff? It looks like I will need some of this information going forward because I was a past filer.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can request that your old petition package be sent back to you from USCIS. Call them and ask. Although I don’t think you need any specific information about old petitions to apply for a new one.

Thanks! I'm looking at the form i-129f. It's asking me to put the file date, the name of the old beneficiary, and his A# which would be on the NOAs I believe. Additionally, when I look ahead to the affidavit of support i-134 it asks me if I've ever filed an affidavit of support before and for whom and the date of filing.

I don't know if I'm going to need anything else off of them for the future but I would like to have access to the old petitions since I was the petitioner.

I agree with this. You can request a copy ( May take a while, this is USCIS), or I don't think you need to worry about anything except checking the box that you did a K1 before. It's been way over 2 years since your last one so no explanation is required. You should be able to file and go, I would want to get it started sooner than later so you can get in the door.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

Thank you for your help! So for when I file the i-129f can I put an estimate? I don't know the exact date of when I filed before. I may be off give or take a month. I have no idea what his A# would be. Would they give that to me if I called? What about when I file the i-134? do I need to put that exact date of when I filed before? I don't really have the answer to that except an about.

I would think estimates would be ok, but give this post a little time here, I am sure someone will come along who has done more than one K1 filing and can give you some actual information from them doing it themselves.

I'm pretty sure you can just estimate. But I will deffer to more experienced members for advice. Have you tried calling them and asking them for the information?

Also, how common is it to just use the space provided to describe the circumstances of meeting in the last two years. Do most people attach a separate supplement?

I attached a separate sheet to describe how we met and what we did. I'm not sure what most people do.

I think the requirement is having to be employed full time for 10 years or become naturalized. He wasn't working full time for years. So as far as I know the i-864 still applies. How can I find out? I don't think he naturalized but I really don't know. I haven't heard from him in years. How does this affect my new petition? What do I do? I'm scared we will get denied because of it. Also, have you ever seen the government come after anyone to enforce the i-864 after years passed but before the 10 years full time?

If it's been over 10 yrs since ur last k1 u shouldn't have any issues as far as be financially responsible.
