Passport style photos

Hello, my husband and I are working on getting the I-130/AOS package together and recently took and printed our own passport style photos. What I’m now worried about is the background. The instructions do say white or off-white and I was wondering if it was too dark/shadowy. Please let me know what you all think. Thank you!

They won't reject the package, they'll RFE for new photos.  Hard to tell but they look OK to me.  Slight delay at the worst.

Advice:  In the future pay a few bucks and have some taken.  I think we went to a drugstore or something and had them done in their photo center.

They have a place on the USCIS website you can upload your photos and see if they meet the guidelines. Look under tourist visa I think had the link there. I'll do you one better, here is the link.

The last time I was at Walmart, passport photos where about $8. For that price, I would rather pay the $16 and not worry about it. Good luck to you both.

I did look into Walgreens because I know they do passport photos, but because I need 2 photos and my husband needs 6 photos and the package Walgreens has comes with 2 photos, we’d have to pay their price 4 times. I looked briefly into Walmart online and just saw a place to upload photos for them to print, not that they take them for you.

Sometimes you just gotta pay. We had ours done at Walgreens - was our only option - and it cost a bit but they were done right and accepted. If you're not getting peace of mind doing them yourself it's the lesser of two hassles.

Why take the risk?  Such a small price to pay for peace of mind knowing that it’s done correct. I would go to Walgreens.
