Hi everyone! I am new to this forum.

I am obviously the Canadian beneficiary.  Both My fiancé and I use this account if we have any questions about this beautiful journey of ours.

Just to give everyone an idea we just received our NOA2 approval on the new USCIS website.  No hard copies yet were sent to us.

What has everyone done in the past while waiting? Also, how long did it take to schedule Medical’s and interviews? What dates are they booking for these? Where do you recommend to get Medical’s completed?

With my NOA2 date is it realistic for me to think POE would be early October?

My NOA2 date was May7th and my interview is on Aug1st (so 86 days). Everything has been going as scheduled (not fast, not slow). I think you might be a little ahead of yourself hoping for Oct POE though as they only release interview dates for the second month ahead at the end of the month. Ie they will release September dates at the end of July and Oct dates at the end of Aug. And in my case, it took a month and a 3/4's to get from NOA2 through "Ready" at the embassy, to waiting for Packet 3 and then waiting for Packet 4.

My guess: You'll have P4 by the beginning or middle of Sept. If you are supremely lucky there will still be Oct interviews available but my bet is you may have to wait for November interviews to be released at the end of Sept.

Take a look at my timeline and you will see my timing through the next steps.

Thank you so much for the information! Gives me an idea!

So my next question was, what did you do after you received your NOA2?  What should I be doing? What should my fiancé be doing?

I have gathered almost all my documents.  At the moment I’m waiting for police clearance, and I pick up my long birth certificate on Monday.  I have a copy of my I-129F package documents only, and I will just put together all the photos from past to present.

From now until POE I visit my fiancé in NJ on August and then again in September.

Thanks for for all your help and information  in advance!

Please note this thread is for Montreal REVIEWS.

Thanks I understand that! Maybe you can send me a link for threads where I can ask about K1 Visa process after NOA2 for Canadians.  I can’t seem to find one that’s current and specifically for Canadians.

I assumed I can ask questions on this thread since people have made it this far to give reviews.  And to also say they were approved.

I know others have cautioned you about being too optimistic, but just wanted to say that I got my NOA2 on July 6th, my NVC case number on July 19th, and today, July 27th, the case is "Ready" at the consulate! Unfortunately I've been super busy with work so I myself am not quite "Ready" to submit the DS-160 haha, but I'll be doing it asap! Good luck :)

not quite! Case is ready, then you submit packet 3 info, THEN you can schedule an interview once they send packet 4 :) I'm going to try sending packet 3 on Monday

As ITMFA said, dont schedule an interview before you get packet 4 from Montreal.  They will cancel any interview without notice if you do.
