It will stay at AP until the visa is issued. It may easily take a few days for the passport to find its way to the right desk, for the person to find time to look at what is in their physical inbox, etc. relax, they’ve told you it’s going to be issued, it shouldn’t be long.

Did it happened in your case too. Two(2) date updated changes but status still remains "Administrative Processing" ?

Also how much time it took from passport submission to passport ready for pick up?

The status updates mean nothing. Means someone picked up your passport at the front desk and put in internal mail. Means it actually got placed in someone’s box. Means someone opened a file to check what was outstanding in your case. Etc. as I said before it can take days. People who submit documents etc later after AP seem to think everyone at the consulate drops everything else to work on your case as soon as you submit them. Doesn’t happen that way. It gets put into the system and dealt with whenever who needs to deal with it finds time to do so in the middle of all their regular stuff and after other documents etc that have been arriving after AP have been dealt with.

Hi mathur I am in the same boat had my visa interview on 7/31 in Amsterdam and was given a yellow slip asking for my CV. I have an indIan passport and an approved 797 with a company that  I was working for last 11 yrs. I came to Netherlands to visit my family and have a vacation in Europe. please keep me posted if you have received any updates will do the same. May I ask if you work for a IT consulting firm or with a direct employer?

Hi Sampath,

I went to Amsterdam Consulate on Dec 17 2018 to get my H1B stamped. I got a slip that was yellowish in colour and I was asked to submit CV. They returned my passport as well. Its been almost a month and I still haven't heard back. Could you tell me how long it took for you to clear the admin processing and get the visa?
