Mother did not file for resident renewal

My mother travel back to Venezuela, she find out that she was sick with cancer, she had to renew her residency back in October 2016, but she could not travel back to US for obvious reasons, now she is stable and I want her to come back with us, she is by herself. What are the possibilities that I can reinstate her residency. I want to take her out. Thanks

she can try to file an SB-1 I believe that's the form to recover her GC due to medical reasons

 

she will have to prove why she couldn't return before a year, she will have to show medical evidence and immigration might restore her GC

SB1 is really, really hard to get. And I reckon several months. 

 

Better to re-petition for IR5 if you're a USC. The sooner the better.

My mother was s legal resident for 10 years, following all the rules. Just by a hit in life she just could not come back in order to do what she wants to do in order to renew her residency.
