Been down and under maintenance since Friday. Almost 1 week. Lots of Spouse Visa applicants now stacking and up waiting to pay fees, do DS-260 and submit documents. Some are now actually having to postpone and reschedule embassy interviews because things like DS-260 not done yet. Several I know of had the embassy contacted them to reschedule. These are mostly ones that are expedited past NVC, but still have to do DS-260 through CEAS. People are hoping this gets up and running soon.

Thought I found a new link ... but alas that link went back to the other eventually

Funny that the DS-160 link is working just fine.

I still think major overall programming wise adding file upload for documents to CEAS.  Before electron file transfer was by email. Now expanding to actual file upload per recently updated  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-6-submit-documents-to-the-nvc.html

Yes the non-immigrant CEAS has been working fine all along. Different system. Again, leads me to believe because of the recent change in IV file upload ability of documents.

Yes, I see crazy mad programmers working all day and night being harassed. Soon instead of the French revolution, there will be the immigrant visa applicant revolution looking for heads to cut off.

Same here I’m desperate and this site keeps showing ‭under maintenance, almost a week, why would it take so long, it normally takes a couple of days to upload or redo a website. Wth 😩

The Consular Electronic Application Center – Immigrant/Diversity Visa portal is currently undergoing maintenance.

New message on the website ya'll!

The Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) Immigrant Visa web portal is currently unavailable due to maintenance.

During this time, IV applicants will be unable to access/login to the CEAC Immigrant Visa Agent (DS-261), Online Immigrant Visa Application (DS-260), or the Immigrant Visa Fee Payment portal.

We are working to restore access as soon as possible.

What is the difference between the DS-160 and the DS-260?  I know this is slightly off topic, but I am hoping someone can clarify.  I am doing a K1 visa so I just do the DS-160 I believe right?  Thanks.

DS-160 is for the K-1  (non-immigrant visa)        K-1 visa is unique in that it is a non-immigrant visa yet is processed as an immigrant visa.  Required documents are different .. of course.

DS-260 is for all immigrant visas.

We did the K-1.

My website is the finely tuned result thereof.

I am correct regarding  your parents.
