ok so the first   1-choise an agent ds-261       2-pay aos fees     3- pay iv fees     4- fill out ds-260 form   5 - sublim all documents         I'm I  right ?

did you mail AOS and IV packages? without paying IV fee and fill out ds-260?

I laready submitted my AOS /IV package yesterday and they received it today. I had called a NVC rep and she said not to wait and send the package w/the supporting documents. This was after I received the email stating to pay the IV bill.

The website isn't "down". The page still loads and displays just fine. The problem is that the "portal" at the page https://ceac.state.gov/iv is down. From a computer standpoint, that is a valid page that loads correctly with no errors. From a human standpoint, we can easily see that the page displays a message that the site is down for maintenance.

 

Hopefully this gets fixed somewhat soon. My wife (who is applying for her marriage visa) is visiting as a tourist for the next few weeks. We were hoping that she could sign her DS 260 soon (after our lawyer made some minor changes), and then we can meet with our lawyer to get prepped for what's next.

ds-261 choose agent and adress, this one for either petitioner or applicant is fine. ds-260 for applicant for sure.

DS-261 is choosing a agent who will be receiving paperwork electronically etc. Can be you or the beneficary.  Make sure to call NVC and validate the DS-261

 

DS-260 is strictly questions in reference to the beneficary. I printed it out and answered the questions so when it opens for me to complete its easier for me.

it is not to fill out ds-261 ?

afer we pay the fees we need to wait or to send imidetly documents to nvc ?

So after a week of waiting to fill out the DS-260 due to the portal issue they are having - I have to wonder if I can just go ahead and mail the IV & AOS packages BEFORE I do the DS-260.  The confirmation page for this isn't needed until interview stage right?
