I received an e-mail the day the site went down. When I called the Visa Center they told me the site was down with no ETA and there’s nothing that I can do but wait. When I ask what was the email about they said the passport picture scanned was not valid. Instead of uploading it vertical it has to be horizontal. This has to be a joke right? It’s a file, al they need to do is open the picture and change the orientation of it. Has this happened to anyone here? It’s been a week and a half and that is the only thing I need to do to wait for an interview.

Well I had the same problem with picture and passport but i resubmitted and it got accepted but now they need some more documents and I m unable to submit that as the website is down..I was really wondering how dumb one has to be to not being able to change the orientation...and they could ask for all documents in one email and its frusrating that I have yet to wait more..

Yes. The NVC website has all the steps on there.

You have to pay a IV and AOS fee, then you can fill in the ds260 and upload supporting documents.

I was told by NVC you don’t need a police certificate for the other country if you no longer reside there.

so my father born in the philippines, is the beneficiary and he went to Saudi Arabia for more than 2 years when he was around 26 I believe.

And i I was freaking out because I thought he needed a police certificate or clearance for that country.

I was told by my lawyers that if he lived in the country for more than 6 months i needed a police certificate or else NVC has an option of selecting not available and they retrieve it themselves which takes longer.

Mine is working! Slooooow.... I have to wait 2-3 mins for each page to load and sometimes it times out. Happy with that than nothing at all!

Same here, it just connected and took forever...

I immediately uploaded and submitted what I needed to before something happens again.
