Hi all,  Just found this on the site. Perhaps this is the delay.  Its just weird its taking so long.

USCIS Continues to Expand Digital Delivery of FOIA Requests

We are introducing the second phase of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Immigration Records SysTem (FIRST), which will allow all FOIA requestors to track their requests through a USCIS online account and receive their documents digitally. During the first phase, requestors reported that they could easily login to their account and download their documents.

Phase two now allows all FOIA requestors to create a USCIS online account, track their cases, and receive their responses electronically.

Until this new system is fully operational, requestors must continue filing their FOIA requests through the current process (by mail, fax, or email). When fully implemented, FIRST will allow online submission, online case management, and digital delivery for all USCIS FOIA requests.

This digital delivery process will save time, improve efficiency, and eliminate potential errors that can occur with manually issuing a CD.

Also, do we submit the AOS docs all together to NVC

Yes, submit your AOS / IV docs in two seperate envelope but when mailing you will put both in one envelope so NVC receives them at the same time, Do not send seperately it will delay your case as per the NVC rep. Make sure to label each envelope. One AOS & IV. I just sent mine and I put on my label AOS the NVC Case Number and My name. I did the same for the IV package.

Have you all been able to access the portal ?

No :( nobody has been able to access it. I’ve seen them replying to someone on Twitter stating “they’d be back on Friday but it’s subject to change -thanks for your patience”

i hope it’s back up and running tomorrow even though my main concern is that there will be so many of us on it and might slow down the website. They should have informed us..a week or two longer for us it’s precious time we could have been with our spouses

Currently in the same boat - finally received my welcome letter from the NVC on July 24th, but can't do much now but wait until CEAC is back up.

Hoping it's resolved quickly. Thanks everyone for any updates you're providing. This thread is keeping me somewhat sane during all of this!

There's hardly any information about why the website is down for maintenance and how long it might take to get it back up. Looked everywhere. Twitter, Facebook, VisaJourney, ***removed***, etc. One of my friend's family have been waiting 13 years to get to the position where they can file for DS260 now. But the site went down. This sucks. He asked me for info but I can't provide none. Because there is none.

I also got this tweet chain to share with you.

Notice how @TraveGov replied on 25-JUL-2018. Today is 26-JUL-2018. So as of yesterday they haven't fixed the issue. But say they are working on it. Hopefully by this weekend, the site will be up and running.

Someone else mentioned a tweet saying it should be up by Friday. If you are mentioning a tweet, provide live link to it. So we can confirm and stuff.

Is it really down?
Why does this website say it's only down for me: http://downforme.org/is-ceac.state.gov-down-today-for-everyone

2 reasons:

1st you are checking the wrong website, it's actually ceac.state.gove/IV it's only the IV section that is down. The rest is working.

2nd the website is not completely down since you can reach that website and read that message which I think, technically means it's still running, it's just that it's just that they replaced all the functionality with that red message.

I saw this tweet from a thread I’m following and screenshotted it and sent it to my lawyer. I hope tomorrow will be the day they’re back

Here are the live tweet links. Maybe this will help calm some nerves to the folks who are constantly refreshing the CEAC website and this VJ thread.
