Good news! But you should be able to find the DS-260 confirmation in your emails (look up "U.S. DoS - CEAC Confirmation").

My bad, I thought since your interview is soon you had already done that. Fingers crossed that it all gets sorted out by Friday!

Lol, this is my tweet, buddy. What's the point of lying about something like this?

I inquired earlier in this thread for keywords to search my email for the confirmation. After a helpful response I thought I had found it, but it actually turned out to be my wifes DS-160 confirmation from a nonimmigrant visa years ago. I received that, and my DS-261 confirmation from this case, but I never got my DS-260 confirmation in the email. A google search shows this problem is not uncommon.

So, I am back to square one, hoping the site comes back online before my interview date.

You guys can thank me later for finally weaseling an answer our of the state department, lol.

That sucks, maybe it has to do with whether the case is electronic or not? (Ours is and we got the mail).

Hello, so I have a question.

I paid the fees and waiting for the website to be back up so the lawyer could submit the application already 80% done but some info needed to be updated. but my question is after the Ds-260 is submited you wait 2-3 weeks before an apointment is made or do you get an apointment and during the waiting time for the apointment your files would be processed  and if they need something to be clear they would contact before the apointment ?

Also, someone responded to my tweet saying that I could fill out a DS-230 at the consulate instead. Is this correct? Should I fill out one of these forms before the interview?

They will not schedule your appointment until they have received all the supporting documentation that they have asked for. They will send you a list of everything they still need from you. Once you have sent them everything on the list, they will schedule your appointment.

oh okay well the documents they asked and payment were sent on the 10th of July and on CEAC VISA Status check it says:

Action required: Complete Form DS-260
The National Visa Center (NVC) received your fees.
does that mean that they also got my documents ? and just waiting for the form DS-260 to be completed to schedule an apointment ?

The NVC emailed me my invoice number and case number last week. On the CEAC I was able to pay my AOA fee and IV fee. After the I paid the fees the AOA application and IV application appeared. But no where did it ask me to select an agent. Was I supposed to select an agent somewhere? I didnt see any DS 261 form that everyone is mentioning here.

I had the same thing. They said if you do an online CEAC application you dont need an agent. Hope that helps!
