How long till interview schedule?

Hello everyone!

 

My priority date for AOS is May 14. My case updated to Ready to Schedule for Interview on June 19, 36 days after. My local office is Albany, NY.

1- Is that a good sign?

2- How long do you guys think it will take before I get a notice for the interview date?

1. It's a good sign meaning that your package is good and they don't need more evidence. Since you've received your combo card, the rest is just all waiting.

2. There is no guarantee. Some take only weeks, some take months. It all depends on your local office processing time.

Currently it takes Albany office 10.5 to 23.5 months to process family-based applications.

So since your PD is in May 2018, let's you should probably get an interview date early next year.

Congratulations on your case progressing that far so fast. Unfortunately, cases tend to wait in this stage for quite some time - I've been waiting my case being scheduled for 11 months or so now. Follow the timeline for your office and anticipate a growing delay.

I believe you will receive a status update soon. 

Becos my priority date for AOS is May 16. And yesterday (Jun 19) i received the status update to "Ready to schedule for interview" as well.

And just not long ago I received another update "Interview Was Scheduled"

  • Apr 18 2018 - Got Married in Montana, USA
  • May 15 2018 - Mailed out USCIS applications (I-130, I-130A, I-485, I-864, I-765, I-131) to Chicago Lockbox
  • (Day 1) May 16 2018 - Mail arrived Chicago Lockbox (confirmed by USPS) 
  • (Day 19) Jun 04 2018 - Received email & SMS notification - case received (All money orders being cashed on this day)
  • (Day 24) Jun 09 2018 - Received all receipts (NOA) from USCIS, also the Biometrics Appointment letter (Appointment date: Jun 18) 
  • (Day 33) Jun 18 2018 - Arrived Helena ASC at 9.15am (Appointment at 10am), finished at 9.35am (Yea it was super quick!)
  • (Day 35) Jun 20 2018 - Received SMS & Email notification request for evidence for my I-485
  • (Day 40) Jun 25 2018 - Courtesy letter for I-693 (Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record) received
  • (Day 61) Jul 16 2018 - Case status of I-485 changed to "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview"
  • (Day 64) Jul 19 2018 -  Case status of I-485 changed to "Interview Was Scheduled"
  • (Day 71) Jul 26 2018 - Interview notice received (Interview scheduled on Aug 23 - 9.50AM)
  • (Day 99) Aug 23 2018 - Interview approved on the spot! Yay! 🎉  I-485 status changed to “New Card Is Being Produced”,
  • (Day 100) Aug 24 2018 - I-131 & I-765 status changed to “Case Closed Benefit Received By Other Means”

My application was initially sent to the National Benefits Center. I just received the EAD and now my status is "waiting to be scheduled for an interview." Since I live in Tucson, AZ, does that mean that my application will be directed to the closest office (the Tucson one?). I am asking because I need to know what to places/dates to look at in the USCIS Processing times chart.
