Chats logs and the like are just secondary evidence and USCIS doesn’t really care about that. You need more concrete evidence of face to face meetings. Save all that for the embassy interview if asked for more proof of relationship.

This is a hard embassy, and in many cases they don’t even ask for more proof at interview. It may become really important in these cases to frontload as the concern is not uscis but the embassy.

The beneficiary is from Ghana! Front load the #### out of your petition and dump your lawyer. This is a high fraud country and they often don't even ask for evidence at the interview. Usually their mind is made up well before the interview. Do your research, follow the guides and ask in the forum if you get stuck. The only reason you would need a lawyer is if you have an extremely difficult case or criminal history.

Good luck!

^^ this!

please read reviews here on your embassy as it is handy to know what others went through. Interview stage makes all the difference.

We are from Togo and have a lawyer (and if denied we get our lawyer fees back, it’s one reason I choice him. But also because he seems to have good success.) what he has told us is to frontload the entire story right from the beginning. So that meant he suggested 50 pages of chats, 10 photos, phone records, all the proof you have been together that you can think of and for how long, letters from others stating they know or have seen your relationship happening, and in your letter on intent to marry tell your story the best you can! Hope this helps.....we just received our noa2 on July 16. And are now preparing a second packet, much like the first....but this one they most likely won’t look at. But our lawyer said it’s good to have and if they ask you can easily and quickly give them the proof you have. So the second packet is like the first.

I have pictures and boarding passes from my three trips. Is that considered 'concrete evidence'?

Yes, boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel bills for the time you were there, pictures of you together with the dates written on them and who is in the picture that correlate with your trips, etc...is what they are looking for. It's not just one item but a collection of those items that proves what you are saying. This is a very hard embassy, you definitely want to frontload your petition with QUALITY proof, not quantity as the CO's know the difference in that as well.

Did anyone see the 90 day financee where the lawyer told Nioole she could appeal a K1 denial?

and then told her to apply a K3

both were wrong answers

I find lawyers useless unless they can show and prove different

we had a denial and i did my own appeal which i won

wasted time and money with a lawyer

Some Lawyers charge a fixed fee but unlikely to include any appeal, further application.

Lucky for us, our attorney charged a flat fee. $1000 up front and $1000 after case was sent to NVC. We received an RFE before NVC phase and it was attorney’s fault. We fired him and saved ourselves the other $1000 as we had not  yet paid him. He never attempted to collect the other $1000. He knew he was in the wrong. We finished K-1 ourselves with success and filed AOS paperwork with the much appreciated help of VJ members.

It's very concerning your spouse just wants the lawyer to take care of it without trying to educate him/herself. The lawyer is not the one trying to receive immigration benefits. You and your spouse are. And if you are the American citizen, then your spouse SHOULD be 100% concerned because he/she is the really the one that is most affected by this process. It is extremely foolish to blindly trust anyone when it comes to your personal life-changing decisions. If your case is denied, your SPOUSE suffers the consequences. Not the lawyer. I suggest sitting your spouse down and having a serious talk about the situation.

Bad advice. Dealing with Ghana, front loading the petition is essential.

That's scary.... shouldn't lawyers have to go through continuing education courses? Smh.

If all lawyers worked like this they might do a better job at advising and putting immigration packages together.

I was SCREAMING at the TV when I saw that!!!!!!!!!! SO SO WRONG!

ALSO there was that other lawyer that said Molly was tied to her ex-husband because she submitted the I-864. ALSO WRONG. He didn't complete AOS and doesn't have the green card yet! She can pull the form before it's too late.

These lawyers are screwing people's lives on national TV! Can you imagine what they are doing to us "normal" people?

Might I just say that you are simply a cash machine to your immigration lawyer?

Take others' advice - Dump that lawyer and file without him/her. Many members on here (me included) filed successfully without using any attorney, filing service or money sucking persons who claim to be the best in immigration help. B-)

Make sure to include AS MUCH evidence as you can to prove your relationship and make a convincing case.

Good luck!!
