What kind of birth certificate with I-130A

I am an F-1 student going through adjustment of status to get a marriage based green card. 

 

With the I-130A I need to submit a birth certificate. 

 

Do I need to submit both original language and translation? And can I submit photo copies of notarized copies of the original and translation, or do I need to submit the notarized copies.

submit both and sending a copy is fine, unless the instructions specifically ask for the original (and i dont think they do)

By AOS, i beleive you are also submitting i485 otherwise you don’t need to submit a birth certificate with i130A only.

 

You need to submit the original translation and just a plain photocopy of your birth certificate. No notarization required.

Right now we only have access to notarized copies of the original and translation. Is it ok to send photocopies of those or do we need a photocopy of the original birth certificate?

I guess you can try sending those. Highly unlikely you will get an RFE. Can’t someone email you the pdf copy of your original birth certificate if you don’t have the original in hand?
