After a two and one half year wait, which includes having our first petition sent back to the service center that approved the petition. Appealing the Consulate Officers findings, winning a second approval (reaffirmed petition) waiting again as the petition travels back through the NVC again, finding it way to the HCMC Visa Unit again, waiting for another interview day, having the interview again, blue sheeted again, waiting for the Administrative Review, I am happy to announce… We have been approved for a K-129 Visa!

I want to thank all the people here at VJ and a special thank you to “Mr. Marc Ellis” whose talents, knowledge and tenacious persistence in pursuit to have his/her clients voice be heard within the walls of The U.S. Consulate and the personnel who work at the U.S. Consulate HCMC who interact daily under impossible working conditions yet somehow manage to perform their duties.

Should you be one of the few who are sincere in your relationship and find yourself in a similar situation. Please remember when dealing with all the frustrations including, the endless of passing of time, the loss of family members over time, being alone without your spouse during Holidays Seasons, becoming older, the endless letter writing, contacting your Congressman/Congresswoman for help, as to, “Where is my petition now?” That, “if you give up” and stop your efforts in bringing your loved one home, YOU never really loved that person at all.

I am still in disbelief and fear something will hold the process yet; I have to “allow” myself to believe all is ok now. I can now plan for the future with my soon to be Wife by my side. I now need to un-thaw my thoughts from a two-year hibernation induced by disappointments. I hope what little information I have shared here at VJ gave hope to your situation to hang in there. The old words of: “hurry up and wait” is true.

Thank you all for your time.

Hang in there =-)

Don

Wow, I am the first to read such breaking news ... How great!

When my wife and I came out of AR a year ago, ChuckandKim told me this "You guys are my heroes" but I think you deserve it more than I do. So, here to you and yours: YOU GUYS ARE MY HEROES!!!

I feel nothing but overwhelmed joy. My wife and I send you guys our biggest and warmest congratulations. Job well done! You have been through, probably, the toughest challenge in your life and you both came out winning. You guys prevailed at last. Now, it is time to move forward with happiness, prosperity and longevity.

With lots of love, respect and admiration, Congratulations!

It's "his", Martin. I haven't had a sex change since you retained me, nor am I in any transitional state between his and her.

At least, the last time I checked wasn't.

I just wanted to reassure my current clients about that.
