Are all K-1 cases routinely transferred from Texas to California?

I've never heard that...most expedites are handled at the same service center AFAIK. The "special" cases sent to VSC are usually those involving certain types of crimes by the petitioner (i.e. AWA crimes), or those who otherwise need comprehensive background checks for the petitioner.

Looking at Igors  list. There only been 2 cases that have gone thru Vermont and received noa2 approvals in 2018. One is Armenia other being UK. Neigther were much quicker about 7 months or so for approvals.

Some of those can also be wrong cause some people persistently believe because they live nearby their case goes Vermont (old system) last time I checked I actually saw someone from Vermont or so putting Vermont even though their number is a WAC- California service center number).

 

same as people thinking cases first go to Texas service center and put California as transfer (causingthe weird timelines on Igor’s list for Texas) when it only goes to the lockbox.

all high fraud countries go to California

and Jamica is on the map of high fraud countries/ it is the red spot just below Cuba

All I-129Fs for a K-1 go to California at this time. A small handful are later transferred to VSC. This has nothing to do with the beneficiary's country.

Didn't Texas process I-129F's at first and then got extremely backlogged? I remember someone I know who's petition was at TSC had to wait over a year for approval and a few months before I was going to send in my I-129F, it was announced Cali was going to process them to relieve TSC.

It only goes to a lockbox in Texas then is forwarded to csc

No, as I remember it TSC did process I-129F's before 2016. Then they got backlogged and CSC took over.

Edit: The Dutch people I know who filed before 2016 had their petitions adjudicated at TSC.

Yup. TSC and VSC use to regularly process I-129Fs. Then just TSC + CSC. Now just CSC (barring the noted transfers). The backlogs at TSC for I-129Fs were massive a few years back.

Can't recall number but it was around 5 that use to do them. Now it's 2 but pretty much just 1.

Interesting how much it can change in a short amount of time. When we filed for K1 it was either sent to California or Texas based on where you lived.

The Texas address that you mailed your petition to is a lock box facility that accepts the applications and processes the payment.  All K1 applications are then forwarded to the California Service Center to be adjudicated.  It will take around 7-8 months before you hear anything on your application.
