So we got an RFE for submitting Marriage Registration Certificate.  We had submitted a marriage certificate (issued by the local authorities in India) was a little different than what my brother and sister in law got (which was approved by USCIS).  So we got a marriage certificate in the format similar to my brother's.

Now it has been more than 45 days since we submitted that as a response to RFE but it has not been approved.

I am giving the details about evidence requested as I read in answers somewhere at VJ that the RFE approval time depends on what the RFE is.

Could anyone please give your opinions on how much time our type of RFE should take?

Also I was wondering how the process of RFE approval takes place.

I dont think latter is likely. So if the la

Please advise.

Thanks in advance

I submitted on June 6 and our case was approved on August 7. We kept on calling them. Also make an account on USCIS and drop an inquiry for delayed processing. That inquiry helps as well.

Hey Dinesh.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was going crazy. BUT this morning i got a text message saying they took action on my case and when I checked it said card in production. I also had put an inquiry in on 8.12. So I dont know if that's why helped it move along.

How long did it take for you to get your approval notice and card after the update.
