Hi there,

We're packaging our applications together (all forms) - a few questions:

Do we fasten all of these together? Eg., does I130 and I485 go on the same fastener?

What's the best way to attach the passport sized photos, payment, etc? We can't hole punch those. Do they just wind up in the envelope too?

I put each form separately, and then put them in order (and my cover letter listed the contents in the order in which they appeared). For the passport-style photos, I put those in a smaller envelope (to protect them from sliding around in the bigger envelope, I didn't want them getting scratched up on paper clips), and just clearly labelled the small envelope showing it contained the photos, and paper-clipped that to one of the forms (I forget which one).

Keep all the forms together and all supporting documentation under each respective form. For the photos, I put them in a ziplock baggie and stapled the baggie to a blank sheet of paper. On top of everything was a cover letter which stated the order of everything. I also used little sticky note tabs to indicate the start of each form. Everything was bound with a fastener through the 2 holes at the top.

this is how i put all my applications, i separate them in different folders

I didn't punch holes, I just use a big paper clip for each application to the put the photos and Money order together, my order was like:

a.    Money order;
b.    passport photos (i put them in those small plastic Zip 'n Close bag);

c.    G-1145;
c.    Application form;

d.    supporting doc...

I also wrote cover letters to list out the order of everything i attached with.

For mailing, I use the USPS Tyvek envelope, it's perfect.

Awesome! One more question! For questions like the interpreter's certification, do we just ignore that if nothing was interpreted? My spouse is fluent in English.

Is your spouse the applicant (the beneficiary)? If so you can just ignore that.
