Hello,

I am in the process of sending out our K1 application and I am really worried about something, here's the situation, I briefly left the state late 2016 and returned within a couple of months do to an unexpected and out of my control situation. I was at a family members out of state for four months, when I returned I had zero options of where to stay and was offered to stay with my ex in laws for a few months until I got an apt which I did and left a short few months after that to my own place.

Here's my question, do I completely not write that address down  or do I write it down? My fear in this is that that's where my ex has his driver's license address to and I don't want them to wonder why his address and mine were the same for those few months. What I am concerned about is the fact that our divorce decree has his address at the bottom, not very obvious on there but still there nonetheless. I didn't have any bills whilst I stayed there to my name and I am not sure if omitting that would come back to hurt me, I am not sure if to omit or add it, like I mentioned , his address is on the divorce decree so I am not sure if they would notice it, if it would be a problem, if they would question my fiance about that, I am completely confused.

Any help or tip would be appreciated.

Report the addresses accurately....it will not harm your case.

You definitely write it down.. if questioned you simply explain the truth.. no more no less.. if you omit it that can lead to a major issue with the application... don't go that way...

I concur. You must write it down. If asked about it just be honest. No harm to your case. I'm sure you know this already but make sure you front load your application with a lot of proof of bonafide relationship. K1s are extremely difficult to be approved through Casablanca.
